Self-Care Saturday with https://dejeunesse.com/
"Self- Care means giving yourself permission to pause." ~ Cecilia Tran
Being a mom, wife, and entrepreneur, means my days are usually busy with lots of different things happening simultaneously.
Today we're hitting the reset button.
Reflecting on quarantine (lockdown)~
I felt it was a time where my family and I were able to reconnect and reset. Although we all had our meltdowns at some point, and I still had all of my usual household chores. Things somehow felt easier and a lot less stressful, not having major commitments for work and being able to spend quality time with my kids and husband. Having my husband at home also meant I had extra help with the kids, which was great.
Our mornings were spent in the garden. Gaia and Arius would play while I tried to fit in a workout and then we would all go for a swim. For me, this was the best way to start the day.
Quarantine also gave me the time to finally focus and develop my blog, while having lots of fun testing recipes and experimenting with new flavours and combinations.
However, since getting accustomed to (the new) normal, I find that we frequently are feeling overwhelmed and too busy. So today, we're taking the time to enjoy the moment, and incorporate some of our quarantine routines back into our days.
Featured in the photos are Gaia and I enjoying our new products from dejeunesse, sipping on Aloe Vera- Pineapple Slushies, snacking on fresh fruit and going for a swim!
Why does my family love dejeunesse?
Well that's simple, their products are locally made, all natural, gentle on our skin (which is wonderful because we all have sensitive skin), and most importantly they're 100% vegan and cruelty free.
See below for the Aloe Vera- Pineapple Slushie recipe.
